Job Description

We are seeing a Technical Support Manager to be location in Orange, CA and to report to the Director Asset Reliability.


National Subject Matter Expert with focus on equipment performance through Bottle Processing, Asset Reliability, Operational Competency Development Systems, Technical / Equipment Competency Development Systems, Operational and Maintenance Standards, Quality & Safety Standards. 

Key activities include:

  • Lead the development and deployment for operations and technical competency for related equipment. 
  • Provide leadership, strategy, tools and systems to the Factory Teams with a specific focus on:
    • Competency Development
    • Innovation
    • Scrap Reduction 
    • Projects
  • Maintenance strategy and execution
  • Analyze data and act with a sense of urgency with root cause for market top losses with a solutions mindset
  • Provide regular business updates on routing performance using system analytics (IE a KPI Dashboard)
  • In-depth knowledge or solutions including the ability to provide assistance for factory support 24/7
  • Maintain knowledge and awareness of relevant issues, insights, practices and opportunities to identify and make recommendations for opportunities
  • Manage vendor relationships through effective communication and issues management to ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout and system deliverables are met.


Key Attributes:
•    Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, preferred)
•    5-10 years of Blowmolding and/or Injection experience 
•    Prior experience leading projects
•    Ability to define and execute multiple detailed activity plans simultaneously, maintaining an ability to articulate progress and status clearly to key stakeholders
•    Natural ability to coordinate and facilitate diverse teams of different skill sets, backgrounds and locations
•    Ability to conduct and facilitate workshops with business representatives, management and executives, team member resources, and external 3rd party groups
•    Highly developed technical skills in blow molding technology 
•    Problem solving skills that use techniques to identify the root cause of the issue such as Lean or Six Sigma and then ability to clearly communicate (verbal/orally) this position
•    Attention to detail in the written communications
•    Advanced communication skills with a demonstrated ability to provide advice, consult and negotiate with senior management and manage key relationships between stakeholders involved in an upgrade/implementation environment
•    Comfortable in adapting working hours to align with demands of communication across multiple time zones
•    Comfortable to perform well under pressure
•    Ability to travel domestically up to 50%
•    Use own and others’ expertise to achieve outcomes, and take responsibility for delivering intended outcomes
•    Work through issues, weigh up alternatives and identify the most effective solutions in collaboration with others
•    Explore a range of possibilities and creative alternatives to contribute to system, process, and business improvements
